face story - profiling
(imaginary interview)
Q. What is your demographics?
A. I am just a common man, you can box me in SEC D, considering my education, age and earning profile matrix. You should consider me as the bottom of the pyramid and possibly half the population of the world will fit into my segment.
Q. What do you buy?
A. I buy small things which have functional value, like food, clothing, cheap everyday object. Luxury item in my shopping list include chewing tobacco, hair oil, occasional country liqueur & travel to pilgrimage. I have no insurance or medical plan, no golden nest for retirement, no bank account.
Q. How does technology effects your life?
A. The roads, regular buses, trains have really effected my life. Not sure good or bad but things have changed. I have not bought a mobile and never used internet.
Q. What does future look like to you?
A. Future looks very bright, because there is speed in the changes happening around me, my children are talking about big & positive things. Future is also bleak, because we are loosing the control of our money and profession, we are developing but becoming more greedy and jealous. Overall the western kind of development is making us materialistic and discontent.
