Buying Boooks and Misti Dhai
A Siliguri day , November 4’ 2010 – Thursday

Went to town in a old mini bus, which has railing in the seat. A group of senior school boys and girls were speaking about things about there life like - “is man need to grow mustache before becoming father” the girl was amused. “what is the meaning of "Mairi" - is it mother Meri or swear mother - any way the girl objected to such word, boys were amused, then they were trying to remember the alphabet etc in Bengali which amused everyone.
Runa recognized the bus conductor from her collage days, that is 15 years from now. is he doing the same job for last 15 years? She was seating next to a man with a police like dress but a long and jota hair.
I was seating next to a group of young boys who were speaking in Hindi (may be from Bihar) about cell phone rate and some detail about some educational course

We were looking for the Bengali book shop which seals Ananda publishers book, it is not even near the Mamata store. Than we went back to the row of the book shop near the Siliguri collage, which has started at 1950, as written on the large iron gate.(missed the photo)

All the shops had no customer, but the young boy behind the counter in one of the shop looked at us with eager eyes - well he got our business. There were not much of a choice but I am happy with the selection. Was looking for Anwar Hussian and Neel-Lohit books but they did not have any. We are planing to send the books by Speed post.

After buying Misti Dahi - Rudra, Diya and me were waiting for others to return. The shop is very old smelling sweet all over. May be it can become a perfume or a deodorant.
Read this incredible book called Bahubrihi by Anwar Hussian. It makes you feel very happy when you read the book. Like all his other stories the plot the characters are repetitive but still it leaves with a good feeling. Half way through I was feeling like making a film on the story but by the time it ends you loose the desire. May be if i change the end it still can become a good movie to make.
